Question about Canon PIXMA MP130 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Doesn't print Pixma MP130 goes through the motions of printing but page comes out blank. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: doesn't print

Open the printer and make sure the cartridges or printer head does not have any packing tape or anything like that covering the ink jets. If that is not it, try reinstalling the printer drivers and printing a test page.

Open the top and make sure the carrier is not stuck to one side and also check that the drive belt is on.

Replaced ink cartridges, printer goes through all the motions, but paper comes out blank. I have done all the maintenance steps. What gives?

Cannon ink cartridges go into a print head. This is normally a removable box the ink cartridge sits in.

First remove the head and the cartridges from it. Now try this to clean the old ink off the print head, rub/soak the print head in alcohol. Make sure the print head is complete dry and place the ink back in it and return to the printer. Try to print a page, if you have the same results you need to replace the print head.

After cleaning/maintenance, pages are still blank.

If you have just bought new carts (ink) and installed them into the printer and there is blank pages. and the printer is acting like its printing (moving from left to right) and sending paper out then i would say 99.9% it is defintally the head. On the printers that have the head built in and you insert your carts (ink) into the head and you don't print but very so often this is a common problem with ink printers the head gets clogged. If you are attached to your pinter you can take it to a print shop and have them clean the head (they have to remove it from the printer)
When buy a printer if you dont print alot i always suggust to get a printer where the head is built into the cart (ink) like hp they are more expensive to repalce the ink but you get a new head every time :)

Printing gives only blank pages...

Maybe you need performance a preventive maintenance if you know how great, if not you can call a Printer tech in your area.

Hi You can Try

Error Code 5100 Yes see lots of this errors
Solution 1:
Clean the timing strip.

Solution 2:
The purge cap (the white sliding mechanism that the print head parks to when it's not in use) may be not lubricated well enough .

Lubricate the sliders with some white grease (don't get it on the small wipers or the black caps); this repair probably require to remove the right panel off of the printer to gain access to the purge mechanism.

Prints blank pages

the reason is nothing but ur printer's ink catridges are empty.pls refill or buy new catridges..
