AEG 72640 Washing machine

I have an AEG 72640 washing machine. It seems to be stuck in half rotation. It will only turn half a revolution then the power cuts out completely, it will then try again, with teh power cutting out completely again etc. Is it the circuit board has it gone?

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

Rate me pl.....if helped.

you have a hole in the rubber boot seal and need to change it,also i've seen a buildup of detergent and hair stuck on the bottom side of the front door, when the door is closed the water was traveling down the pieces of hair and leaking through the bottom of the door, but if it's leaking under where the pump is and it's not the pump or hoses it's the boot the door and pull open the boot seal and run your fingers all around until you find the hole

Conditioner not being washed away

The siphon in the conditioner compartment is blocked and needs to be cleaned.

Completely remove the soap drawer from your machine and flip up the covered section of the conditioner compartment. The upper half has a dead-end tube which sits over a narrower tube. You need to make sure that both tubes are completely clean. It's likely they'll be gunged up with black goo (typically a mycobacterial biofilm); if you leave any of it behind it will rapidly re-grow.

Preventing the goo is a matter of regular cleaning and a bit of experimentation. Some conditioners seem more prone to it than others (especially cheaper brands which may not include additives to inhibit these growths). I avoid it by using wash powder with built-in conditioner (such as Bold in the UK/Ireland/Europe). Leaving the drawer open between washes (and the washer door slightly ajar) between washes also greatly inhibits growth of these biofilms.

About mid cycle, a significant amount of water leaks out of the bottom. No error message comes up and the machine continues functioning. Machine is AEG oko lavamat 72640

Could the machine be overfilling due to a faulty pressure switch (controls the amount of water in the drum). Splits in the door seal or broken pipes?

AEG 74630 washing Machine stopped working, will not spin or complete cycle, have manually drained and checked for blocks in pump but seem OK

I have same problem right now. The machine works fine up to the stage where it needs to pump out. the pump was dead. Have replaced the pump, but still not working and it's probably the PCB that needs replacing - expensive but will buy reconditioned for about £50.

Pump available for the machine on Ebay and easy to replace. Take of machine back panel - make sure machine off and unplugged. Pump has 3 screws holding it in - then just replace. Easy. Good luck

are the holes that spray out the water partially blocked? if so the water will spray out at every angle filling all the tray slots. try popping out the soap tray and cleaning above it with a stiff washing up brush and then reducing the water pressure by turning the tap off a bit.
