Same thing started happening to us when we moved to a dry high altitude climate. Don't know if it was age of machine, lint accumulations, or environment but it no longer has the issue after we leveled the washer, slightly reduced the amount of detergent used and (for HE liquid detergent) we clean out the measuring cup so it does not accumulate and concentrate the detergent as it dries in the cup.

I have the same problem now and again on my front loading LG. I noticed that it is coming out of a vent on the tub right where you metioned that is part of the design. Either there is too much detergent or the drain is restricted. When there are lots of suds they have to go somewhere. It's either out the drain or out the vent.

But seriously, take it out back and shoot it at you're earliest convenience and steer clear of LG appliances in the future. Good luck!

Suds are not supposed to leak from the top; means you are not using the right detergent. Use front loading powders. You can open up the top during next wash to locate where the leak is coming from (after changing powder). I understand suds appear in the window during spin....but leak? Caution when machine works with top open!

rate if helped pl........

Tub leaks, with a partially filled tub (2.5 inches measured from the lowest point over the pump assembly.) Promblem occured after the washer was idle for 3 weeks. Have just replaced the main water inlet...

I am assuming leaking when it is running, not sitting idle. Leaking from the door? Fill and run unit for 1 minute with no detergent. Open door. Are suds present? Suds turn into water when they drop to the floor. Suds can flow over the lip of the tub and drip to the floor. Oversudsing, Sometimes old detergent breakdown. Rinse aid dispenser leaking will cause oversudsing. Combination of all in one products will cause many problems. If suds are present after running unit a minute, pour a cup of cooking oil in unit. Run and fill it a few times until suds are gone. Possible most common cause is dispenser latch grommet.

My ge potscrubber 650 is leaking onto the floor in front of the dishwasher. What is the likely problem?

Check you filter and screen .Check whether you need an replacement for them.

If you dishwasher has foam coming out from under the door, then the problem is that dish soap somehow ended up in the dishwasher or excessive rinse aid . It is not recommended to prewash the dishes before loading them into the dishwasher as only a small amount of dish soap can cause the sudsing that you experienced. Only detergent specifically designed for automatic dishwashers such as Electrasol®, Cascade® or Cascade Complete® should be used. Spilling rinse aid while filling the dispenser will cause sudsing also.

To clear the suds from the dishwasher sprinkle several tablespoons of non-dairy coffee creamer over the suds. The fat in the creamer will help break down the bubbles. Wait five minutes for the suds to lessen.

Many pump leaks happen around the seal on the pulley. Some pumps have a weep hole that lets water drip out when this seal begins to go bad. The solution is to rebuild or replace the pump.

You'll want to confirm that the fill hoses are connected and properly tightened. Always use new rubber washers when re-installing the hoses. Take care not to over-tighten the connection. Other leaks may be caused by the drain hose being cracked, or by a leaky connection at the water-inlet valve. Too many suds may cause the appearance of a leak when actually it's just a sudsy overflow. Sometimes a drain hose leak occurs at the end of the hose where it attaches to the washer. If the hose is long enough you can cut the leaky end off and re-clamp the hose back on. Usually though, when a hose begins to leak, it is best to just replace the hose.

(E4) There is a round door on the lower front of the washer. There is a small hole near the door. Put a small screwdriver blade in the hole, push in just a little, and you can rotate the door clockwise, the door will come out and you can get to the problem. When the water is drained in machine the door is open able.

Immediately facing you is a black connector, about 4 inches (10cm) in diameter. When you unscrew this, all the water left in the washer will spill out onto the floor. Use a plastic bag to catch this or a small pan.(later models have a drain hose?) The black connector unscrews counterclockwise, and takes quite a few turns. Once you have it out, you'll find the source of your clog. Remove it, clean out, screw the black connector back in. You can check with rinse, if you want to make sure there are no leaks. Put the door back on and rotate.

Or improper detergent is being used, ( must use "HE"/lo-suds detergent ) hence suds not allowing a proper drain cycle, or wires loose at the pump...the later being the least likely.

4 mo. old. leaking water and suds all over floor. using he detergent.

If its leaking by that amount there will almost certainly be a pipe that has pulled loose somewhere at the soap box due to the soap suds leaking over the floor. To see the workings, remove the top lid and start a cycle and observe. Go from there.

LG WM2487 front load washer spews suds out of port on rear.

You are likely using too much detergent or the detergent is not high-efficiency detergent. Change detergents and/or lower amount and this problem should go away.

The water port on the back allows air inside the tub to escape. However, if the wrong type or quantity of detergent are used, excess suds will flow from this port.

Leaking from the back

although my knowledge og the LG machine is limited i can tell you I remember there being an issue with the water backing up through little sensors(mushrooms they were called because of there shape), there are 2 of them on the top; of the drum area and can be pulled right out, they merely "float" up nad down and overtime become "stuck" form the soap suds building up around them , so if you lkoacet them and pull them out, simply clean them off and sorrounding hole in which they came, you should be fine, also very important that yo uuse HE deteregent.HE detergent is specifically formulated asnot to suds up causing these problems. hope this is helpful

Water Leaking From Calypso, Won't Drain Completely

the bag type device is an overflow and should never have "water"in it, but it will get suds if you are using the wrong type of soap.
you need to use "HE" soap as it is a non-sudsing soap and thats why you are getting suds leaking from your unit.
just run the rinse and spin cycle until the suds are gone. then use the right type of soap and it will work properly with no leaks.
