AEG 72640 stopping mid-cycle no error code showing

my aeg oko lavamat 72640 update keeps stopping in the middle of programmes. Sometimes the stop/pause button flashes but pressing it doesn't restart the programme. At other times the indicator shows a large amount of time to go but the programme can't be restarted. It all started when I tried to do a 60 degree cotton wash. I am forced to run the "drain" programme then the "rinse" and try again with different programmes. Intermittently, I am managing to do a 40 degree easycare wash but not every time. Help!
