Re: having problems downloading into player

You try to plug it out and plug it back in. Oh btw if it says on the taskbar on your desktop that it found new hardware you click on it. I think it should probably say if you want to (automatically) install this hardware. You just keep on following the steps, and after it finish downloading you see if it works when you go back to windows media player and see if they found it. Well that's what I had to do..

How do I download music to my Sansa Clip MP3 Player

First, you have songs into your computer. Then, plug the device to computer and use one of two ways to download music to your Sansa Clip:
1. Select songs you want transfer, drag & drop them into Music folder in the device.
2. Use Windows Media Player: plug device to pc, open windows media player, click on Sync tab, drag and drop songs selected to Sync List space (on the right side of wmp), click on Start Sync button to transfer.
Good luck

I can't get the songs downloaded from my Windows Media Center to the sansa m240 MP3

Once your MP3 player is connected to the computer, open Windows Media Player. Click on the "Sync Music" tab. Drag songs that you want from your Windows Media Library over to the "Sync Music" column to create a playlist. Click the "Begin Sync" tab at the bottom once you have all of the songs on your playlist. This action will sync all of the songs to your MP3 player with one click. Disconnect your device once songs have been transferred by clicking on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the bottom-right side of the desktop tray.

I need help syncing my mp3 to my pc to download

Make sure you have the usb cable and player and hook it up to your computer. Also make sure you have windows media player 9 and up. You can either download music or rip your cds to your media library. Then make sure that your device is hooked up to the computer and the computer know what model and make it is. Then in in your media player, click sync or sync to device. Then you can drag or highlight your music to the sync list. Then click sync at the bottom of the sync list. Once all of your music files are finished syncing then you can remove the device. Then turn the device on and it should have all the mp3 songs that you choosed to sync. Hope this helped.

Cannot get music to transfer to device

Hi klvogel1, I had the same problem, only I have Windows XP. Here's how I solved it. Connect you device to your computer, go to my computer and find the new device (should be under F drive) open the file and the open the" Audio" folder. This is the folder you will download to. Open your Windows Media Player then open your Music file, High lite any song or all songs, right click, and open up file location YOU CAN NOT SYNC TO THE DEVICE, you must copy and paste or cut and paste to the Audio folder of the device NOT THE MUSIC FOLDER. This will work, it took me since Dec 27 to get this answer. Hope it works for you

Sansa having problem with sync

Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out:

Unable to sync music

What happened when you tried to sync? it could be a device certificate error...what i would recommend you to do is to sync using your windows media player...assuming that you have windows media player up your windows media player and click on sync..then you can drag the tracks you want to sync and then click on start sync...if you are not able to transfer the songs to it..use a song that is not from yahoo like the sample one that came with your computer and see what happen...if that doesnt solve the problem check your usb should be under MTP mode or auto....then open up your windows media player and format the device there...after you have done that..that should solve the problem you are having..let me know what the outcome is....

Menu isn't finding the music selections.

Here's what happened: When you first synced your player to Windows Media Player, you may have set up the automatic sync option. When this option is selected, Windows Media Player will add EVERY song, picture, etc from your Library on your computer to the player. Now, every time you sync you device, it adds every new file from your computer into the player automatically. It will even delete songs from your player that were on there before.

Go into Windows Media Player 11 with your player connected to the computer (it will automatically sync and add new files one last time), move the mouse cursor over to the sync tab; a small black arrow will appear under the word "Sync"; click on the small black arrow and a dropdown menu will appear; select "Portable media device" from the dropdown menu, and another dropdown menu will appear; select "Set Up sync"; a window will appear with some information on your device - uncheck the box that says "Sync this device automatically"; click Finish; This will eliminate the problem of Windows always adding/deleting songs/files you don't want into your player.
