You need to dissasembly the hole printer to take out the print head.In case you wish to do this don't use alcohol. Use hot water or some degreaser.
Principle from Brother claim in genuine cartridge have a unclogged preparation. If you don't use a genuine cartridge buy one black, put it on printer, start cleaning and wait for one day.The nozzle will unclogged, but this is not 100% sure.

Problems with my black ink

The lack print head may have blocked ink nozzels.

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out and blocking the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

All of a sudden my hp 932c printer started printing funny in color. I was printing pictures and the prints came out like a heat resolution type picture. I then got new ink cartridges, it did not fix the...

quite often inkjet heads will dry up and clog. try a clean heads sequence in the printer properties panel. do this until it prints the clean nozzle page properly. If the ink cartridges have the print head attached to them (some dont) you can dab them on a paper towel with windex or vinegar until they show a nice clean line when dabbed. if you cant get the print heads out , then you just need to continue running the clean nozzel application until it prints the test nozzel job properly. This is the reason I will not buy any more inkjet printers. only Toner based machines. cheers.

BROTHER DCP-560CN Not printing enough yellow

This can happen to cartridges with attached print heads such as HP, Lexmark or Dell. All cartridges are weighed and tested before leaving the factory so lack of ink isn't the problem. It usually has to do with the print head of the cartridge not having any ink to feed it. This happens because cartridges are kept flat or upside down for weeks or months before being used and the ink settles away from the print head. The easiest remedy is to open the box and stand the cartridge upright for a few minutes before using. Then get a damp paper towel, fold it into quarters and sit the cartridge print head down onto it. Hold the cartridge down to the damp paper towel for three minutes. This will help pull the ink out of the print heads, priming them and getting them ready to print. Finally, install the cartridge into your printer and print a few test pages.

How can I get dried ink out of my inkjet print head so I can print again? Place the clogged cartridge in about 1/4 - 1/2 inch of warm water for a few minutes. When ink starts to slowly leak out take the cartridge out of the water and dry it using a soft cloth to "Q-tip." Then place it back in your printer and run the print head cleaning utility that comes with your printer software. You may have to run this 2-4 times before printing quality is reestablished. If your print head is destroyed, as can happen, you will have to buy a cartridge and refill that cartridge before it is fully empty

Cartridge light blinks

Try cleaning the print head first in the software options on the printer and then lightly with a qtip and alcohol or electronics cleaner. The ink jets sometimes dry up and cause the nozzels to get plugged.

Canon pixma iP8500 won't print, blank pages

The colour cartridge is badly clog. put tissue with warm/hot water below the head, wait for about 30 minutes. If tissue is coloured, the dried ink inside head is out. Is it not, do suction from the outlet pipe of head cleaning mechanics.

COLOR NOT VIVID

The DeskJet 940c is not really the highest quality printer out there on the market. However, having said that, the printer is still capable of producing decent quality printouts. You might play with your printer settings for print intensity, lightness, ink volume.

Black Ink Cartridge

I don't the meaning of the word "clogged" but the better way to clean a printhead is to put hot water on a soft clothe and gently put the cartridge on and off a couple of time. You will see if the cartridge let ink leaking. Important do not scrap with your clothe under the cartridge.

First, wouldn't print black, now won't print magenta- all new cartridges!

Unplug machinepowercord. Open printer and take all carts out. Plug in power. Machine demands carts. Put new one in: Replace with original ink carts!. When asked push 1 (yes New cart). If you have used thirdparty carts, there could be a prob due to construticon or ink quality. In case there is no bk after 3x cleaning cycles anymore, the head is clogged: This happens because the filter in front of the nozzels is clogged by pigmented ink. DO USE ONLY DYE INK for all types of brother inkjet machines!!!

Printer won't print

If the ink is too low the head cleaning won't work. Also, I have had to do the cleaning functions several times for it to work. Will it print a test page? Look in to reinstalling a print driver.
