Question about Pioneer AVIC-X1R CD Player
Hi there, recently had an avic-x1r installed but I have a few concerns;
1. The picture does not seem sharp and rich in colour but rather dull and not of the great quality I have been reading about in reviews. I have had a digital tv tuner fited.Picture adjustments for colour, brightness and contrast on the head unit seem to give better results on dvds but not on tv.
2. The sat nav calculates the route but then does not give you a prompt to tell you when the guidance will start eg, " guidance will start when you join the highlighted route" as with Jaguars nav system. The avic seems to assume you will dive off IMMEDIATELY. It also wizzes thru the route at top speed and tells me I have arrived when I am still on my driveway. Could this be to lack of a GPS antenna, or the vehicle speed sensor not being attached to tthe avic. Incidentally,are vehicle speed sensors and speed pulse cables the same thing?
3.Have you heard of problems with ribbons and flexi cables on this model?
Any help will be appreciated immensely.
OK on the nav side it's not the vss wire the is to just tell the avic you seep for off road use to nav track your rout. in the nav menu it should say gps ant or sum thing like that it will tell you how Meany sat it sees that should tell you if the ant is broke or not
