Car cd changer not working!

I have a 2007 Ford Fusion. I put in a CD today, and it wouldn't read it (kept saying reading disc). I was able to go back to the radio, but now I can't eject OR play any of the cds that are in there! It won't let me do anything...just keeps saying CD error, or eject error. I don't know what to do! Help?

How do I eject cd stuck in my 6 disc cd player 2008 ford fusion

If it's jammed then the only way to eject it is to remove the cover of the unit to expose the changer mechanism. Locate the problem cd and remove it by hand. Close it all up and see if the problem is solved by loading another CD.

1996 ford explorer with JBL sound system with 6 CD changer, keeps saying BAD CD when asked to play

Welcome to Fixya

Try to use cd cleaner first to clean the lens. Its giving you a BAD CD error because the lens cannot read the disc. Do the cleaning method 2 times.

Please reply to this email for any update.

Its possible that recently disconnected the battery and the LOCK CODE needed re-enter.

Check your owners manual to the procedure.

Good luck.

Not accepting cd's

I have the exact same car a 2005 Ford Focus ZX5 with a 6 disc MP3 player, when we first got the car the changer worked fine and would read all discs, after a few weeks it would kick out every disc and say that it was "bad disc", we tried buying just some office depot cleaning disc thinking it would clean the laser. This did nothing, tonight I got quite ambitious and removed the whole deck from the dash. You do this by carefully prying back the surrounding plate all the way around the heating controls and then unbolting the deck from the car. I unhooked the cabels that were running into and pulling it out. I then unscrewed all the small screws to the unit and took a look inside. As it turns out I wasn't able to find the laser eye as the changer had hidden it, so I screwed it back together and put it back in. Turned on the player and put in a disc and it played perfectly. So in the end basically unplugging it and plugging it back in did the trick. You may also have the same luck just unplugging the battery for about a minute and plugging it back rather than taking your dash apart. Hopefully that helps you since it's been 4 months since you posted this issue.

CD changer reading "CD ERRor"

reset your radio by unplugging your battery for an hour and plug it in to see what happens. if not then time to replace. these cd players look nice and all cuz they are 6 disc but dont read mp3 well and get stuck easily with thicker cds

The laser is dirty (happens alot in a car, especially the trunk) or damaged. a repair shop is your best bet.
