Sony Bravia LCD S3000 and DAV-HDX-465 (by 2 users)

Okay, i bought this as a complete package but no connections come with the set, shitty eh? so when the HD cable guy showed up he put the hd cable through component 1, on the tv. I'm using HDMI cable from the DAV-HDX 465 to the TV, and a HDMI - DVI cable from the HD Cable Box (cogeco)to the TV. Now i can get video for the cable on HDMI -2 for the TV, but i cant get sound. HDMI 1 is the video for the DVD and that comes though fine along with surround. now i know the a/v (red.white) cable has to be hooked up through the TV under the HDMI outlet. But for me to get sound from the HD cable box through the DAV-HDX-465 for regular TV? what do i have to do? I'm going to try re-doing the setup process in the manual, and check all connections but after thats done I'm out of ideas thank you =)
