Question about Mag Innovision InnoVision LT 765S 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor

1 Answer

Mag Innovision 765S Screen Flashes on and off.

Hi. I have a Mag Innovision 765S. Here's the problem. I will hook the monitor up to my computer it will work great for hours or even days. I then will go to play a game (ex. Everquest), it goes into the game, I play the game and all is good. But as soon as I leave the game and return to my desktop, the monitor begins to flash on and off repeatedly. This will go on until I unplug the power cord from the monitor and leave it unplugged for a while. When I plug it back in after 15- 30 minutes all seems fine, until I enter my game again. Then the cycle repeats itself. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Please note I have replaced the power supply and all cords. I am venturing towards something internal that deals with the monitor refreshing and switching display modes.

It sounds like it is trying to re-synchronize it self and not going back the the default setting. Compare the resolution of the game to your monitor capabilities.

I just moved and my monitor is saying it has no signal. Everything is hooked up the way it was. Whats wrong?

Go inside and move the card to another slot. If that doesn't work, take the monitor to a friends house and confirm the monitor is still good.

Mag Innovision 765S power supply light blinks and monitor power led blinks and no picture

I'd suggest looking at the mainboard. I assume the blink is rapid? A slow on, followed by a short off and back on again is normal. The fast blink thing is a mainboard issue, and the absence of blink (or light) is power "supply dead."

There is a problem transistor on the mainboard that seems to be the problem most of the time. Replacing it takes about 5 minutes if you have the tools and the talent, and the parts cost under 3 bucks at Radio Shack. Just pick up a pack of NPN switching transistors and de-solder / solder your way to a working monitor. There's usually only one on the board, so it's easy to spot.
