How do I get the sound to come through my T.V speakers?

You have to hook from the cable/dish box straight to the audio on the TV. That will get you audio out of the tv.

Getting snow when connecting polaroid tv to dish

Hi bevybab!

I would need more information as to which TV (1 or 2) you're experiencing the problem with, but if this is a new TV it sounds like you may need to change the modulator setup.

You can find the setting under Menu -> System Setup -> Installation -> Modulator Setup. If this is TV1, change the TV 1 Out to channel 3 or 4 depending on what you have listed. If this is TV2; change the mode from air to cable or cable to air and then put the TV on the channel it shows after selecting done to save the settings.

If you can provide more information or have any other questions let me know!

Need to connect some samsung audio/video components

I'm guessing that you would like all your components to play audio through the HTZ320. In order to get audio from all these components you will need a digital optical cable from the tv optical out to the HTZ320 optical input. And some composit audio cables (red and white) from tv audio out to the HTZ320 aux input. The video and audio from the dish box, bluray, and the vcr are all going to have to go through the tv first and then to the HTZ320. Use HDMI cables to connect the dish box and the bluray to the tv inputs and composit cables (red white and yellow) from the vcr output to the tv input. If you can give the exact model of the tv I can help you sort things out further. I hope this helps you.

Can a durabrand dvd home theater system, model #sts96 be used on tv for surround system

I have a sts92 system and run the tv sound through it for surround sound. My Tv has an AV out option, so I ran component cable from the AV out on the TV to the AV in on the sts92. When watching TV, turn on the theater system and set the function to AV in.

You need to upgrade to HD. Sd is going to look like you are playing 8-track quality sound on a cd player. Just not a good mix. You should be able to receive some HD chanels via your over the air antenna. Anothr great way to experience HD is to get a Blu-ray player and connect it with a HDMI cable.Your older DVD player may have 480p capability. That means it has a component cable on the back(Red Green Blue). You will still have to hook the audio up after that. Then go into your DVD menu and set it to progressive scan for a 16x9 widescreen. And buy widescreen DVD's from now on. They are made for that TV Good Luck. I reccomend Dish Network, or Direct TV. They both ave well over 100 HD channels and provide all the equipment for free. Once you go HD, you won't be able to go back!

Only works when playing a DVD.

This is an easy and quick fix.

What you will need:

RCA cables (audio)
( possibly Line out converter )

Your television is either going to need Video Out, or if you have a VCR or VCR/DVD combo connected to your television. Assuming that you have a VCR combo, the way your tv should be set up is on the back of the vcr combo, your cable will run into the coaxial IN and then you have another cable running from Coaxial OUT to your tv. If you have it set up like this, then the DVD / VCR combo will have RCA Audio / video out ports on the back side. Run RCA cables from the DVD / VCR output to the surround sound INPUT. If you already have your inputs in use on the surround sound, Radioshack has RCA splitters for about $1.50 each, you might need to pick some of them up so you dont have to go through the trouble of reaching behind it all the time to disconnect and reconnect whatever your trying to connect. Now if you dont have the DVD / VCR combo, then your TV "MUST" have RCA Outputs. if it doesnt, then the only way that your going to have your surround sound connected to your tv is to take the TV apart and get a RCA "Line output converter" and wire it to the left / right channels of your tv. From what I've read, i think this is what your trying to do so I hope this helps

Hooking up a tv

Hi first of all are you using scart leads to plug into each device here is how it should be set up ok
1. Scart lead from dish network into vcr
2. then other scart from vcr into tv
3. Now ti recieve the signal from the dish network you need to have the telly on the right av channel so that its picking up the signal from the vcr.
you can test this by changing the channel on the vcr controll or direct via buttons on vcr.
If the channels change then your on the right av channel.
Now when your on right channel on telly you need to now make sure dish network is on and on a channel or press the tv guide button just so you know what your looking for when the picture comes through.
You need to press av on the vcr controll this will then pick up the signal from the dish network via the scart lead as av is the channel for scart lead.
say if you was recording from dish net to vcr you would put the vcr on av to pick up the signal so press av on vcr controll this should then allow you to watch the dish network with no problems.
Let me know if you still cant and ill assist you further if it dont work tell me what you have done so i know how much you have done ok
