Question about Philips GOGEAR SA6045 MP3 Player
I have a philips gogear SA6045. I have two computers one with windows XP and the other with Vista. When I transfer videos to my philips with windows XP everything works fine. But when I try this same procedure with the same video with windows Vista, it either won't convert the video at all or it will transfer the video, but when I try to play it on my philips it says that the file format is not supported. I have called the customer hotline and tried many other converters besides the one that came with the product, neither have solved the problem. Can anyone help?
First, download the latest version of the GoGear software on the Philips website (compat with Vista).
Second, go to the Microsoft website and enter ArcSoft Media Converter in the search box to get addl software that will make it compat with Vista.
Third, check and see if the same file has the same DRM license on both computer. SomeGoGear's only read files with DRM encryption; others only read files without it. Make sure the licesnsing is the same on both computers - the Windows Media Player with Vista may or may not have this feature (if it doesn't get a PlaysFor Sure program for vista on the Microsoft website).
