can these phones be repaired? can I repair them?
Well, most electronic circuits can be repaired providing that it is affordable to you and that replacement components are available. You can contact cell phone repair shops on the internet. I do not have experience with their success rate or the fees involved, but most of them offer free estimates.
I've been able to revive many phones that "went swiming" without troubleshooting or component replacement but, I haven't been successful with phones that got chemicals like detergent/softener in them. If you feel inclined to give it a try yourself, I'll let you in on one of my tricks to try to revive them (no guarantees, just a good try) let me know.
In the mean time, remove the batteries out of the phones until some repair action is done on them. This will avoid any further damage to the circuits and your wallet!!
Hope this helps you.
