Take the screw out of the bottom front remove red plastic panel by lifting up on the front, this will allow you to lift front wheels up and to the rear, remove center wheels press the tabs on the left and right side in and remove the cab. One AA battery, reverse steps taken and begin playing.

Pull the small middle wheel down on one side and pinch the cab in to get the blue tab under the red rail. Repeat on the other side.
Lift the cab off and replace battery.

    on the bottom of the engine take off the little screw (with the half circle arrow). The middle wheels come off. Squeeze the sides and the top comes off revealing the AA battery.

Remove battery cover from Motorized Chassis by squeezing sides. Put 1 "AA" battery in and replace cover.

Unscrew the screw under Annie, then pull on the top part of Annie to reveal another section where more batteries go. put water in the hole on top of Thomas, not the funnel, but there's another small hole on the top of Thomas. Now Thomas will puff steam! You are lucky to have found this train, he is super fast and very unique because he puffs the steam! we have one, unfortunately my youngest son broke the chassis that connects Thomas and Annie, so it no longer works properly. You will need a dropper to put the water in Thomas.
