Iphones are notorious about the screens going out because they locate the batteries so close and their batteries can run hot their actually a joke for the cost they are when torn apart and seen from inside i would dump the i phone and change to something else.hate to be crude but the only great thing about i phones is the security
You need to adjust the hibernation / sleep mode in control panel / power options. Set hard disk to never and the monitor to whatever. I prefer to disable all.
Make sure it is unplugged from external power, then remove the battery, wait 10 seconds and plug the battery back in. I have had the same thing happen with my Garmin on rare occasions.
