First you need to unplug the washer and then remove the front cover below the loading door... (Should be 3 Phillips screws on the very bottom). You will see a white cap in the very center. You are going to need a bowl to catch some water and probably some debris when you remove it....Make sure you get all the debris (coins, papper, wrappers...ect...) out before you put the cap back on the drain...Then try to run a normal cycle again. You can always run the diagnostic program that is found in the manual which is also located behind that front bottom cover…. if the normal cycle doesn’t go all the way through…I also had to replace the CCU (Central Control Unit) and the Filter….due to the fact that I was still getting the F11 & a F14 error… If you are hearing a faint clicking sound coming from the top back (before you get the F11 or F14 error) then I know for sure you need to replace the CCU and Filter... I will give you the link to the site where you can buy it....If you have any type of home protection plan I would just call them and pay the service fee (mine is only $50)....its going to be a lot cheaper that way…. If you decide to buy the part or parts…the CCU and the Filter control unit and do it yourself make sure you get the model number off the CCU and Filter control unit. The top cover is just as easy to take off...the CCU will be located in the center on top and the Filter just to its right... Please make sure the washer is unplugged before you remove any covers….I hope this helps....please give me a rating either way...here is that link to the website for those parts….it also gives you a good picture of the parts...Good Luck

Ours enters the F11 / FDL at exactly 5 mins. My wife and I are enjoying the sherlock holmes activities. It even ends up with some fun activities for taking out frustration. Anyway, any additional help is appreciated. I have the top off as we speak and am looking for anything to try before replacing the mother board.

The problem is its not detecting any cold water water coming in take the cold hose off the back of the washer get a mop bucket stick one end of the hose in the bucket open the valve make sure you have a strong flow look at the connection where the hose screws to the water valve there is a little screen there to catch trash from the water lines make sure its clean make sure hot line is to hot and cold is to cold now if you don't find no problem there you have a bad water valve on the cold side and will have to replace it don't mean to bore you but just let me explain something about how washere work in wash they use hot , cold, warm, but all washers use cold and only cold for rinse so if your washer is setting this problem in rinse cycle the problem is in the cold water circuit let me know what you find would you if you cold water screen is dirty check the hot too im standing by

SOURCE: Whirlpool Duet Washer

F11 is a serial communications error. This is a symptom of an electronic control board starting to go bad. As defined by the technical information provided by Whirlpool, the error could also be caused by a loose or broken wire connector and/or the central control unit (CCU) (front panel). I would double check all your wire connections leading to the control board and CCU, first. Don't be surprised, however, if the problem persists and you eventually have to replace the electronic control board. To check, follow these steps: 1. Unplug washer. 2. Remove the three screws along the top of the washer in the rear that holds the top panel on. 3. Once the screws are removed the top should slide back then lift up. 4. The electronic control board is gray (or white) in color and located in the rear of the washer. It's impossible to miss. Double check all the connections ONE AT A TIME. 5. Double check the wire harness connections leading to the front panel as well. I hope this resolves your problem, but experience has proven that this is usually an Electronic Control Board failure. It could actually be a combination of the CCU as well. The part numbers are as follows: Electronic Control Board: 959503 Central Control Unit: 1025824 Both boards cost about $150 each. Let me know if this helps you.

YA, I HAVE A PROBLEM SAME AS THE OTHERS. AND JUST LIKE THE MANUAL SAYS, YOU ARE SAYING TO CHECK EVERYTHING, BUT YOU WILL NOT TELL US HOW TO CHECK IT, WHAT IT IS SUPPOSE TO SOUND AND LOOK LIKE, WHAT IS NORMAL. SO WE CAN TELL WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. I DON'T HAVE ALL THIS MONEY TO SPEND ON REPAIR MEN WHO DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. SO WHAT SHOULD I DO. OH AND P.S. F-28 DOES SHOW UP ON THE WASHER SO IT REALLY IS A ERROR CODE.
