I am hoping to view a Webcast that I access from my laptop on my Samsung TV and (hopefully) enjoy a larger picture and better sound than what is available on my laptop. We purchased a Belken DB15 Video cable to connect our laptop and our Samsung TV in an attempt to use the samsung tv as a monitor. Both the laptop and the TV have DB15 connectors, so the cable plugs into both the laptop and the TV fine.
On the Samsung TV Video Source menu, we select the Video Source "PC" but the TV screen then shows PC in the top left-hand corner and another message in the center of the screen "Unsupported Mode"
The laptop seems to "see" the TV, but the TV doesn't seem to recognize the video input from the laptop
Are we doing something wrong, or is our TV not equipped for this functionality?
