the battery in the mouse makes the red light come on, not the operating system.
Look in Device manager, find the mouse, uninstall the drivers, scan for new devices, re-install the drivers.
Otherwise look for new drivers on manufacturers site.
lol no it has nothing to do with your bios. I'm surprised that if you know your way around a bios that you would head there. You need a driver for the mouse. In case you do know more than i am giving credit then here's what to do if you already have the driver. Go into device manager and delete anything under the mouse section that is not your touchpad. then plug the usb mouse back in.
try to plug into every usb slot... see if your mouse can still work or not... but i recommend you to bring that mouse and claim for it warranty.... ps; if you plug your mouse into the PS/2 port, u need to restart your pc. i hope this will help you.
Delete the trust driver ,remove all mice ,restart computer without mouse connected ,the connect trust usb mouse ,let pc detect new device then reinstall software when requested.
Remove the mouse from your computer and plug it back again and then power on your computer. If your mouse is usb then remove it and then power on your computer. Once your in the operating system enviroment, plug your usb mouse to get it detected by your computer. But if the mouse is detected and still it is not working then probably your mouse is defective. Bring it back to the store where you bought it and claim the mouse warranty. They will replace your mouse. Hope this could help you. Please don't forget to rate me..:-) Thanks..
check whether any other USB devices are being detected. First let me know whether your mouse is PS/2 or USB. If it is USB try any other USB devices and check whether they are detected or not. If they are not detected the problem is with the USB installers , reformat your PC again . this solves your issue.
Is the mose being detected??? was there an error message when you plugged it in???
Most usb mouse today doesn't require any drivers. unless you are using a Windows 9x or lower operating systems. If you are on an XP system then try plugging that mouse to other computers to see if it works. if it does try using other usb ports on your computer and see if it detects the mouse.
