Question about Samsung 206BW Monitor
Occasionly, and only very occasionally, can I access the correct 1680 x 1050 driver, which, when it does appear, gives excellent clarity and correct aspect ratio. Invariably, after a reboot, it vanishes and the 1280 x 1024 setting is the best available, and although the definition is fine, the aspect ratio is incorrect. Sometimes, especially after a long period of inactivity, it will magically re-appear.
I have tried updating drivers, and all possible adaptor etc combinations that I can find.
The monitor (I have four of them) runs perfectly on desktop units and it is only when running of a Toshiba satellite laptop does the problem occur.
I have the same problem on a Mac G4. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem - mine was due to an automatic windows driver update.
(should get you the file: 169.25_forceware_winvista_32bit_english_whql.exe)
and option #2 & turn off automatic updates (you'll have to periodically choose which to install)
