I have a trouble code 11 on my Rinnai model 2532 water heater which indicates no ignition. I checked for gas supply by turning the furnace on which is approx. 1 ft. away, it works. The water heater is approx. 2 yrs old and worked flawlessly up until now. Any suggestions to check next?

- I don't see it firing so I checked the inlet water filter. It had some pipe sealant and deposits which I removed. After cleaning filter the problem still exists.
11 is a ignition failure code. Could be alot of things, I suggest calling a tech who has repaired these before. Pull the front cover off and have a helper turn on a hot water faucet. Look thru the viewing window to see if the unit is firing then going out. If not, clean out the water filter on the inlet side of the plumbing. You will need to turn off the water supply prior to cleaning it. If the unit fires but shuts off seconds after ignition, you may have a dirty or bad sensor. Call a proffessional at this point. Sorry

- Sorry you didn't like my answer. Maybe someone else can help you. You probably have a bad flow switch.
Our 2 yr. old Rinnai RHFE556WTA gas heater keeps getting a Code 11 when trying to ignite. Have to shut off and then turn back on to get it to start. How do we solve this problem?

I am getting error code 11 on one of my Renai water heaters and 12 on the other. Today is extremely cold outside - it has never been this cold before and I have never had any problems. Could this be related to the outside temp? Might this problem fix itself when it warms up outside?

The thermostat seems off as we have the temperature set at 60 degrees and, although the room temperature on the heater says 58, we are all moving around in short sleeves so it must be in at least the 70s! Is there a way to adjust the thermostat?
