if i format my iomega external hard drive for a mac, can i still use it as normal on a pc?

It depends on which version of the operating system your using. The last time I tried this, it was not possible to use any MAC formatted media on a PC. The simple solution: put a basic text file in your hard drive, then plug it in to a windows pc and see if you can find it. I hope this helps!
