Question about Philips PM435S Remote Control

USB Device Not Recognized

Hi there, I'm having a problem with my MP3 player. I didn't have the installation disc, so I had to download the driver from the website. I did that and when I plugged it in, it said: 'USB Device Not Recognized'. I restarted my computer and then tried it again. Same thing. So I uninstalled and then reinstalled the driver again. Same message. I installed the MusicMatch Jukebox (which is the music program used to sync the MP3 player) in hopes that maybe it would recognize the player. It didn't. I know my USB port and cable are both working, but I'm just having problems with the driver I think. I'm kinda stuck now. I'm not sure what to do... Anyone who's willing to help would definitely be appreciated. usb device not recognized

Re: USB Device Not Recognized

Uninstall driver then turn off the PC then unplug the power cord from power socket, short its legs then leave it unconnected for 5min, then reconnect it to power socket and turn on PC and install driver it should work :) sounds funny but it works :)

Were is set button button letters are worn off

Hi, the set button is the far bottom right button.
  1. Turn on a desired device (e.g.,VCR or DVD player) and, if applicable, insert media (e.g., cassette or disc).
  2. On the remote control,press a device key once (i.e., DVD/VCR, CBL/SAT,or TV).
  3. Press and hold SET until the LED (red light) blinks twice,
    then release SET.
  4. Aim the remote control at the device and press POWER
once. The device should turn off. If it does not, repeat
steps 2 through 5, trying each code for your brand until
you find one that works. If it still doesn't work, try downloading the manual here and inputting the codes directly.

Hi Tried already codes 147 & 256 w/Greenbrier

Hi Carlos,

First of all thank you for posting your question here at

My first advice is to confirm if your remote control is working fine by aiming the infrared emitter(sensor) directly to your cellphone camera, while pressing any button key, you can see the flash of an infrared through your camera indicating that the remote is in good condition. Watch the video below for more info.

You are entering the right codes for Apex DVD player. And this remote control has only two 3 digit codes for Apex DVD (147 & 256).

If the two codes didn't work to your player, I would advice you to do the auto code search mode. At this state, the remote control will automatically find the compatible codes available from its memory. Follow the steps below.

> Turn on the DVD player.

> Hold down [SET] and the device you want to set (AUX) so that the red LED light goes on

> Press [SET] again. The LED will start flashing

> Press [POWER] button continuously until the DVD player turn off

> Once the DVD player turned off, press the device key(AUX) you are working with to end the setup

Please be patient while doing this steps because the remote control will try to find the compatible codes listed on its memory.

If the auto search mode didn't work also, this is an indication that this Model no. is not compatible (no compatible codes) to the remote control.

Again, thank you!

Have a nice day and take care!

Kind Regards,

I don't know how to delete songs from my MP3 player....

Follow the below mentioned steps :
Plug the MP3 player into the USB port. Open Windows Media Player, which will recognize that the device is plugged in and register under the "Sync" tab at the top.
Click on the "Sync" tab and and the library that is on your MP3 player will be displayed.
You can select individual songs or albums for deletion. Simply right click on the song or album to be deleted and scroll down to the "Delete" option.
After selecting "Delete," another window will come up which says "Are you sure you want to delete [title of song]?" There are two options at this point--you can delete from the library only or from the library and your computer. Select the one or the other and click "OK." The song will be deleted. The change will be displayed within the library onscreen.
When you unplug the player from the port, the library will adjust the files to reflect the change. The player will say "configuring library" or some other message to that effect. Once this has finished, the main screen will be displayed. Depending on the model of the MP3 player, there may be a message stating "library updated."

In case of any additional help please revert back.

Good day!

This are the things you have to do to recognize the video files that you download to your computer.

  • All video files must be converted by RCA easy-rip software.Your PC must be able to play the video file in Windows Media Player to ensure the proper codes are installed for video version.RCA software was included when you buy a RCA player.

  • Video files must be transfer to the (video) folder in the player via M.S.C connection for proper playback the videos.

My harmony 1000 remote is not recognized by my mac computer

I had the same problem today on PC with the Harmony 1000. I noticed on the USB cable that mine came with it had a warning red icon (!). 1. install software then 2. plug in USB...

I didn't see this and I installed my software whilst the device was in the charging cradle with the USB cable plugged into my PC.

Before the software was installed I noticed the USB icon next to the Help on the remote screen, this dissappeared when the software finished installing the software and drivers.

I removed the remote from the cradle, pulled the battery out, unplugged the USB from the remote and computer, restarted my PC, powered on the remote, started the software on the PC and then plugged the USB into the remote and then the PC.. it was then recognized.

I can not get my MX-900 Universal Remote to connect to my compute

Turn off CPU, Unplug Power cable, And all usb devices, let it sit for about 20mins. Plug it all back in. Turn on the CPU! Also make sure if your device requires "DRIVERS" or if you have a CD download and install that before anything.
