Mitsubishi WD-52327 Picture flickers and goes blue

I have a strange issue with my Mitsubishi WD-52327 rear projection TV. After 15 - 60 minutes of use, the picture flickers and goes to a solid blue screen. If I turn the TV off and wait for the fan to stop, I can regain the picture by turning it back on. Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Mitsubishi WD-52327 Picture flickers and goes blue

In your case I've seen this and it was a electrical issue between the DLP fan and board. The tv could have a problem with the digital tuner and not kicking a code due to low voltage ... it isn't expensive to fix, just hard to diagnose.

Do you smoke? The fans suck in smoke and it gets tar build up on the connections and that causes this in some cases too.

Do not remember code to unlock tv its a Mitsubishi WD-52327 52 is there a way to reset it

Thanks for visiting FixYa;

This model is equipped with a keyboard lock feature. To unlock the keyboard press and hold the "menu" button on the front panel for 10 seconds.
If that does not work unplug TV for 5 minutes, or you have bad buttons on your control panel. You can disconnect the board from the front of the TV. Take off speaker grills, remove cover(5-6 scews), unplug cable to control board. The TV will work with remote but not manually.

Good luck, Big Irish.

How to clean Mitsubishi TV WD-52327 fliter

Remove the 2 screws in the access panel on the left rear side of the tv. You will see the filter behind it. Rinse the filter in warm water until clean. Lay it flat on a paper towel and fold the other half of the paper towel over it. Press gently on the towel to soak up most of the water, and install it in the tv.

Buzzing noise from Mitsubishi DLP WD-52327 after replacing bulb

Did your replace lamp come on the screen or did you lose picture? Just because the LED indicator suggest replace lamp it doesn't mean it needs it. If your pix was dull or loss of brightness then replace it, if not then just reset your lamp timer, check your owners manual for instructions.
