Remove the lens, clean the contacts, reattach the lens, and jiggle the lens to seat the contacts.

SOURCE: My Nikon Coolpix s4000 can't read the memory card

Your problem carries all the hallmarks of "your card isn't fast enough". Check your manual to see what speed of card is required for HD video. If it doesn't say, try a card that says as least "Class 10" or "10Mb/s" or "66x".

P.S. if you set the movie resolution down to 640x480 it has a better chance of working...

I have a Nikon coolpix P520 and when I play a video there is no sound. What could be wrong...

You should be getting sound, try adjusting volume. This is done with the zoom button(T/W).
Sound is not recorded in HS mode.

I recorded videos at a concert with the new nikon coolpix L810 and the sound on the video is horrible. What is causing the noise in my video? sounds like wind is blowing or a crackling noise

The problem is the microphone on the camera. The mic on the camera is for recording sound in more normal environments. The sound level on a typical concert is much higher than normal, and the mic on the camera just doesn't have what it takes to record sound at those levels.

One possible solution is to record the sound with a dedicated audio recording device, and combine the video and audio in your video editing software.

I cant record video why?

The Nikon should have a Movie mode, select this mode to record a video.
The problem maybe a slow SD memory card.
Use a SD memory card that has a Class 8 or 10 speed.

Press the MODE button (on the top of the camera, marked green camera/video camera/SCREEN). Use up/down to select the video camera icon (the one below the green camera) and press OK. You're now in video mode. To start recording, press the shutter release button fully. To stop recording, press the shutter release button again.
