Re: Zenith TV

Martha, dvd players don`t have an "rf" connection, so you don`t watch the dvd`s on channel 3 like on a vcr you have to use the 3 cables coming out of the back of the dvd player to "video in 1" on the back of the tv.Yellow to yellow red to red and white to white, (the plugs and connections on the tv & dvd are color coded)
Then switch your tv to "video input" NOT channel 3, to watch the dvd, good luck, BMW Rider

Zenith C27A24T 27" TV does

Greetings - You need to have you DVD player hooked up to the video inputs - See below. Don't mind the mouse scratch out lines. The Device on the right represents your DVD player.

You then have to choose video as your source on the TV (not channel 3 or 4) using your remote - see below.

You should be good to go.

Enjoy your movies,

What chanel do i set tv to to play vcr

Hello, Typically they use either 2 or 3. Your vcr might have a slide switch that will allow you to select either channel. You can usually find it by just switching channels. If it still looks like your not connecting, make sure cables, either coax or rca, are pushed in securely. You can always troubleshoot by trying other vcr or dvd player and also try on other tv.
Hope this Helps

TV connecting to portable dvd player

You should be able to hook into your tv with no problem using a audio/video jack available at any radio shack, you would tune your tv to either the select "video" channel or ch.3, your t.v. set should have no problem with the attached device.

DVD input with signal access

IF I understand you correctly, the VCR, Satellite, etc is connected using an RF modulator/coaxial cable wire going into Antenna in

IF this is true, then you have an AV IN port (red, yellow, white) free on the back. Just connect the red, yellow, white from the out of the DVD - you can use 1 or 2 - just remember which one you used; and connect it to the AV IN on the back of the TV.

THEN press ch down on the TV remote until you get to "AV1" - it is below channel 2; double check DVD player to make DVD is playing and voila!

To connect my dvd player

Check your remote. On my Sentry 2, the magic is the SOURCE button, which allows you to access the AUX (auxilliary) channel. This is what you need to select to view your DVD output.

Doesn't rcognize DVD players

You aren't trying to use channel 3 or 4 are you? That's for RF connections only.

There are probably AV input channels on the set that aren't accessible from the channel up/down buttons. On my set there is another button to switch between inputs and channel select.

I am stuck on channel 2

some tv's default to channel 2 after being unplugged.since it is a older tv ,the buttons on the remote and the tv maybe worn down.on the tv itself try pushing the buttons down a liitle harder. if you have aux or line in/video inputs, scroll down on the channel button to log into a aux channel for the dvd for the remote try buying a cheap universal remote to see if that works.
good luck

Connecting dvd player to zenith sy2551s system and doesn't work

Yes, You need to be on AUX ,you can get to that setting by pressing channel 01 then press the channels down button instead of going to channel zero it will start to cycle through your AUX's inputs on the back of the tv.Also, another way to do this is on the original remote there will be a SOURCE button or INPUT button that can also cycle your TV through the aux inputs.REMEMBER.Make sure your DVD player is turned on and hooked up or else the AUX screen will be black.Rate me when you fix it!GOOD LUCK

AV channel on magnavox tv

This worked for my 20" Philips Magnavox 20MT4405/17 TV, it might work for you as well. DISCLAIMER: This is just a solution that I pieced together information from various internet sources, as I could not find a free copy of the service manual to verify this. Furthermore, I am not a technician of any sort.

Enter your TV's service menu by pressing this sequence of buttons on your remote while the TV is on:
062596 Menu

Use the arrows on your remote to scroll down to "Options", push the right arrow to enter options.

Change the 7 options parameters in order to (write down the original values in case this does not solve):
OP1: 065
OP2: 215
OP3: 065
OP4: 162
OP5: 204
OP6: 201
OP7: 000

You need to enter all 3 digits for every number, even if there are zeroes. You use the numbers on the remote to do this.

Turn the TV off with the built in power button.

Unplug the TV for 10 seconds.

Plug the TV back in, turn it back on.

If this does not solve your problem, reset the values of the options in the service menu to the values you wrote down earlier because you have a different problem than what this fix works for.
