Question about Pioneer SD-533HD5 53" Rear Projection HDTV
My TV wont turn on. When you turn on the Stand BY button, it goes right back to red. I saw an answer with the fuse descriptions for this TV, but cannot find it now. Do you know what they are?
You may need the power supply board resoldered as I had the same problem. The guy listed below can do it for you as I shipped mine from Illinois to him in California... Piece of cake getting the board out of the back and it's not too fraigile... Just pack in bubble wrap and it will be fine. My TV is now working great.
BUT DON'T DELAY AS SOONER LATER TV WILL NOT RESTART..

Mine has the same problem. I found out that it is a common problem. THe chipset STK392-110 (2 ) will go bad sooner or later depending on usage . The more you watch, the faster it goes bad. Pioneer recommended to replace them with chipset STk392-180 ( 18 watts ) . It is a doable job to replace the chipset but use the solder iron no more than 25 watts. It is not too bad. ALso look to replace any burnt resitors, blown up caps or fuses.
