My Sceptre X9G Will Work for a 10 mins or so then starts to Cycle on and off sometimes every few seconds and sometimes for 10 mins or so. I have changed power and video (15pin D Vid) cord. Connecting to a different computer gives the same results. Pressing any of the front buttons will bring video back but will start cycle again. I am somewhat savy on electronic trouble shooting and repair but have not done any LCD work. I did open it up and reseat all the internal connectors with no change in operation.

- It is fixed. Going through the solutions of others and recommending relacing the power supply capaciters worked for me. My model is a little different from the one pictured. My model has 5 470uf 25V cap. I went to Radio Shack and got 4 of them. I checked after replacing one cap and checked with no change. I noted that the next 2 ( C019 & C027) were sitting with both neg the same point. I replaced both and recheck the monitor. It Worked and stayed on. Changing C019 and C027 was the fix for this problem.

- Thanks to the advice given to other people with similar problems I replaced C029 and C027 with 470uf 35V from Radio Shack my monitor is now working. I changed one other but those were the ones that fixed it. Thanks for this website and the people that use it.
You have a power supply that is about to die.
If you can solder you should be able to repair the monitor yourself.
The problem is caused by blown capacitors on the power board. Go to our
web site at : www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm
We have pictures of what to look for. Open your monitor and look at the
power supply board for any blown capacitors, replace all that you find.
The replacement parts can be ordered from several places on the
internet or we can supply them for you. The replacement parts will need
to be high temp and will be marked 105c. The values you need to get
will be marked on the sides of the ones you take out but will be
something like 220uf, 470uf, or 1000uf etc. and then a voltage rating.
When you install the new ones be sure to insert them with the polarity
stripe going the same direction as the old ones come out. If you don't
want to do the repair yourself we do offer a repair service for $35
plus return shipping. If you have any questions just let us know

just like antdotwhat my monitor started doing the same thing as theirs on the same date. I turned on my computer and the on light flashed on and of constantly this time with a black screen. I turned the computer off and back on and the monitor started working properly. This morning I turned it on and same thing. I tried turning the computer off and this time it would not work. I tried this several times. I think the monitor is no good anymore.
