Question about Ricoh Aficio AP3800C Laser Printer

2 Answers

Toner problem Hi, I recently posted this problem and solved it, or so I thought. It has now returned. The display says that toner is almost empty; which it is not. This only happens with the cyan. The black recently ran out and I replaced it with a new one which worked perfectly, so the problem would seem to be specific to the cyan only. Any ideas as I cannot print colour at all once the Add Toner message appears.

Why printer squeaks

There are several moving parts inside the printer. more in a color laser printer.

Generally if you have used a refilled toner recently (any color or black), the chances are that the wiper blade in NOT seated properly inside the toner or reversed.

Try the following steps.
1. Set known set of good toner (even if nesrly empty)
2. Perform self test
3. Replace one old toner with new set corresponding color and eliminate which toner causes the squeak..
4. Mark that toner defective and Return.
5. If that is not feasible, try to forcefully rotate the drum in the opposite direction to see if helps flip the rubber blade in place
6. I will not suggest you to open the toner as it can damage the drum, spill toner and lead to you bigger mess.
7. If it is not due to toner, then the culprit is in the several gear trains inside the printer and that can be tricky to solve.

Hi mi sumsingcxs6345nis tuner error

See the section on Replacing the toner cartridge in page 10.3 of the manual.

When the toner cartridge is completely empty:
• Toner Empty, Replace Toner1 appears on the display.
• The machine stops printing. Incoming faxes are saved in memory.
At this stage, the toner cartridge needs to be replaced.Check the type of the toner cartridge for your machine. (Page 12.1)
There are many well explained steps in the manual.

Black Toner issue

Does your toner cart have any little clear plastic windows?
HP printers shine a light through this window to ***** toner level.
Cover one of the windows with tape & the printer will think the cart is full.

Toner Is Almost Empty

When you changed the toner bottle, did the cap come out with it? Sometimes the cap gets stuck in the claws that open it up. Remove the toner assembly carefully, and look at the round end with the handle, where the bottle fits in. You should see a set of claws or fingers.

IntelliFAX 4750 Toner Empty

Hi, have you changed the drum anytime soon? If so did you clear the message before installing the new drum? The only other option would be to try a diffrent toner. There is not toner reset counter like there is for the drum! So I would reset the drum counter and see what happens. Good Luck
