No data for guitar hero III

I have a slim ps2 and I had a problem with guitar hero II last year. I had been playing it for quite some time and then I turn it on one day and it says there is no data for it. I just created a new one and lost my old data. But I have had guitar hero III for about a week now and I've been playing it everyday. I just turned it on and it says "no data for guitar hero III on memory card" so I check the memory card and it is still there! I'm not sure why it will not read the memory for just that game and I really don't want to lose it.

I have the same problem, the same thing happened with me for GHII last year. I recently got GH3,and played a few times, saving and reloading no problem. Today though, the game wont detect the memory card, it says something like "No card has been inserted in slot 1.". I went into the browser and my GH3 files are there, but when i go to play, for some reason the game isnt recognizing my memory card. Anybody know how to fix this?

I have the same exact problem with GH III. I have had it since Christmas, I had two files. It's on the memory card but not when I turn the game on. I don't want to start a new file because it might completely get rid of the other files. I have a slim and an 8 mb card. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

I'm using the slim... maybe it is the type of memory card but guitar hero is the only game I've had a problem with. I just restarted the game and then beat it over again. After it said that there wasn't any data and I chose to make a new one, it said that there was data but it was corrupt. Hopefully it doesn't happen again, but I haven't had any trouble since I started over the other one.

No I don't think its the guitar the developers must have rushed this release out because a couple weeks ago I noticed my friends guitar hero III game having the same sound issues with the second guitar and the save game issue also, very upseting because i recently bought the game and I am having the same issues. Coincidence? I don't think so!

I have just purchased the playstation guitar hero III and purchased another guitar to allow 2 persons to play. However, the second player does not have any sound. It registers points but no sound for the second guitar comes out.

It is not the guitar as far as I can tell. I switched the guitars around and the second guitar works fine. Could it be the Guitar Hero III disc with the problem? Any ideas?

Cant play new guitar hero Metallica.....need help please!

Ok, heres what you do.

(with the ps2 slim, this will work, I'm not sure with the fat but here you are)

Turn it on with the disc in it.
Turn the ps2 horizontly with the front facing you.
Whenever you hear a tick (only for fat) tap it against you knee a few times until you hear it spinning.

I first figured this out when I was frustrated. The ticks should be in groups of two. I just taped it on my knee, then I heard it spinning, and now I know I didn't waste my money on GH metallica and world tour.

GUITART HERO METALLICA

I have a ps2 slim SCPH-79001, so I am not sure if it will work with the fat ps2s but:

Turn the ps2 horizontly with the ps2 front facing you. Then put it in, you should hear a few ticks (with the slim) and just tap it against you knee a few times until you jear it spinning.

Again, I'm not sure if this will work with the fat ps2, but I hope I helped.

Guitar Hero Metallica Wont play on my Ps2

okay, try this: 1. Start up PS2 with no disc 2. select 'Browser', press triangle. 3. select 'Console', press triangle. 4. select 'Diagnostics', press X, select 'ON'. 5. press 'O' to back out of this menu. 6. select 'Playstation Drive', press triangle. 7. select 'Disc Speed', press X, select 'FAST'. 8. press 'O' to back out of menu. 9. turn off PS2. 10. insert disc. The Diagnostics should run and automatically adjust your PS2 to play the game. I got this "FIX" from someone who had the same problem. Hope this helps :D

Guitar Hero World Tour PS2

If you have old ps2(fat one) or some of the older slim models they are unable to read the new dual layer discs like GHWT. You can send your ps2 back to sony to reformat it to be able to read these new discs for about $50. There is currently a class action lawsuit against sony and activision for not being upfront about this problem.
