Plays only thru one speaker or one headphone

Sounds like your headphone jack is messed up you can get replacement parts and a repair guide for this at ifixit.com. the website is www.ifixit.com ... they do show you step by step the process of removing the faceplate and where all the screws are at on the ipod. I took mine apart to replace the hard drive ... It was very helpful. the replacement parts are more reasonable than you would think ... hope this helps
