Even after installing the HD audio driver the mixer is no where to found and still no audio device

That means that you installed wrong audio drivers for your audio device. try to notice the right drivers for your audio device and then install them.

Try to use Cobra 2012 software or up and Driverpack Solution software to find the driver of your Mobo.

SOURCE: ASUS P5KPL-AM VIA HD Audio Device not found

I have installed Windows XP professional and install Drivers for motherboard. motherboard is P5KPL-AM.
Other drivers are OK but Audio driver can't install because i haven't motherboard CD. i need a suable software.
Please help me.

Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEB site - support/download page and download the latest Windows Vista device drivers for your model computer, Use this link: -

You can download the various drivers and then you click on and run the various driver files, they will then unzip and expand into a folder on C:\drivers Then install the various drivers from this folder.

ASUS P5KPL-AM VIA HD Audio Device not found
I would try the realtek audio driver instead. there are two different audio drivers for that board. Here is the link:

select the socket 775 then look for the p5kpl board then look in the audio section and select the realtek driver

Search www.microsoft.com for kb888111. That is a universal HD digital audio sound driver update package. Then reinstall the HP sound driver. Enjoy your music!
