Intermitent internet connection

intermitent internet connection the lights on the router are all steady until i connect to internet then the adsl and the online lights flash or go out sometimes i get online but very slow then the connection sticks or fails.

This is due to noise level(poor SNR) variations in the incoming ADSL line. Check the splitter or try replacing with a new one.
Remove any parallel phone connection on the same line.
