Question about Dryers
How do I remove the front panel on an LG front load gas dryer?
Yahoo! I figured it out on my own. There are two clips on top that are recessed. I had to use a regular screwdriver and push the clips down and pull the panel out at the same time. It was easy after I realized what needed to be done.

SOURCE: removing front panel
The first thing to do is to remove the plastic plug on the lower left front corner of the dryer. it is just a small square plastic piece. This way you can see if the ignitor is glowing red. But to answer your question, You remove the 2 screws underneth the lint filter. Then the top will just pop up with a screwdriver. Then there is 2 5/16 screws holding the front on. (this is for the most common kenmore. If this sounds all wrong i will tell how the other model comes upart.

Hi, If the lint screen is at the top of the dryer, remove the screws located at the lint screen. Then pry the top by inserting something flat into the gap between the top and the front panel. Now locate the screw inthe upper inside corners and remove them. Now the front will lift up and release from the cabinet.
If the lint screen is inside the door, the lower half front panel will release and let you see under the drum.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Removal of the front panel requires the removal of the top cover and the console. Disconnect power to the dryer prior to servicing to avoid the risk of electric shock.
Remove the 2 screws attaching the top cover to the rear of the dryer then slide it rearward to clear the screw head from the top cover flange and lift the cover off the dryer cabinet.
Remove the screws securing the heater PCB board and disconnect the black and white wiring harness connectors from the board.
Remove the four screws attaching the console to the washer cabinet and rotate the console down to remove it from the dryer.
Remove the four screws attaching the top of the front panel to the cabinet and the two screws at the bottom of the door opening.
Pull the front panel forward and disconnect the interior light wiring harness then lift the front panel off the tabs across the bottom and move it away from the dryer.
Reinstall the front panel, the console, and the top cover in reverse of the removal steps.
