Question about Siren Edge MP3 Player

Siren Edge MP3 player

My Siren has always worked just great....until today. I admit it was me, but now I need to know how to fix the problem. I dropped my Siren in a puddle of water. Albeit clear water.....now it has water droplets inside the screen and even tho I have dried off and out everything I can possibly dry, it still won't play. I can't find a place on the MP3 player to take the back off so I can let the inside dry more.
CAN ANYONE HELP? BEEN THERE? DONE THAT?

Deb - water damage = unfixable - I have heard courageous stories from people who dried out their players; the best scenario is that they can get it to work sometimes, every once in a while - sorry

I have a mp3 by the brand of (siren) and need to know to download music of the computer.

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto yourcomputer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.

Need help deleteing music from siren 4gb mp3 player

Hi,
Plug the player into a computer. Go to My Computer and the player will appear as a Removeable Drive. Explore the player and copy the songs you want to keep and paste them to a folder on the computer. Now right click on the Removeable Drive and press Format. This will wipe the drive and it will be clean.
Now transfer your files back onto the drive. Done :)

Adding music to mp3 player???

There was an installation Cd that was supposed to come with it. See if Windows Media Player recognizes it - if so, you will not need explorer. Unfortunately, Siren does not keep the software on their website, but you can call them: 254.224.0222

Here is a link to the user's manual:

Siren Edge 4 gig Boot error,

Siren's software support is bad, but you can call them: 254.224.0222

Sometimes reformatting a player can cause key system files to be lost - this particular mp3 player does not have a recovery tool or a firmware upgrade that I know of, so you can try the Windows Recovery Method: Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
Let me know how it turns out.

Siren MP3 Player switch on / off problem

An email to Siren support suggested a hardware failure... then suggested I return the unit to place of sale. As my warranty was out I decided to open it up.
Not suggesting as a viable solution - worked for me.
Pull the battery cover and battery. Two teeny screws - a couple of pry-points next the to screw holes. Carefully lever the covers apart.
Once apart I put the battery back in place. Unit fired right up.
Kept working after re-assembly.
So far so good.
Good luck.
