Question about GE Washing Machines
My GE top load warsher is having problems with the Filter-Flo. The stream does reach into the removable top filter basket. It is so slow that it reaches just outside the top filter basket and streams directly into the tub. By this it is not able to filter lint or any thing else it is just getting throwed back into the load. Any advice on how to get it to flowing properly. Thank You - Malissa.
I have the exact same problem. I am amazed at had been the engineering is for such a simple process. The user guide just says to clean the lint filter. Even when doing so, there is still an excessive build up of lint beyond reach. There are no instructions that mention how to clean this part. It is obvious that GE did not test this part of the machine.

SOURCE: Lint on dark clothes
no product i know of , try running machine without cloths with hot water and a lot of extra soap the unrestricted water movement and extra soap lubricates and helps to flush machine out, let machine dishcharge into bucket and if poor flow or lots of debris run again and see if this clears up you issue

You may need to put a level on top of the washer and then there are little feet like under the washer you will need to turn those either way untill all 4 are right, meaning once the level says it is level then you are ok and avoid overloading.

The clothes too wet after spin cycle tells me that the water ump is functioning. If it wasn't, there would still be lots of water in the machine when the cycle ended. These Kenmores have the water pump mounted on one side of the electric drive motor and the transmission, drive shaft, and agitator on the other side. The transmission is fastened to the motor by a "coupler", a three piece assy that often breaks. This common failure allows the machine to complete a cycle, however, because of the broken coupler, there is no drive to the tub and no spin or agitate. The clothes seem wet because the spin motion is supposed to provide the force to extract the excess moisture. Leave the lid open and verify that there is no agitate or spin.(During spin cycle use a pen to press down on the safety interlock, a small opening on the the of the machine, toollow the unit to spin with the lid open). If you verify this, flip the machine over and locate the coulper on one side of the motor. One side will be cracked along the shaft. Sears parts stores carry the coupler in stock. ($18.50) Hope this helps.

Sounds like you possibly have a short in the touch panel unit. Very hard to know for sure, but that is usually the signs we get when one goes out. The problem is this touch panel is seriously expensive. Try this, unplug the machine for around 15 minutes. Sometimes they can hang up. Unplugging it would cause the computer to sometimes reset itself. If it does the same thing when plugging it back in, its that touch panel. You cant always see any burned or scored areas to indicate a bad board. Good luck and let me know if you need any further help. Jim
