Question about Garmin Nuvi 660 GPS Receiver
I have a Garmin 650 that I have forgotten the pin to, as I haven't used it in a long time. I thought it was lost when my car was totaled and it went with it. However, I have the main unit, but all the power adapters, etc. were lost with the car. Can you tell me how to reset the pin? I lived a long way away when I got it, so I can't go to the security place (my old home).
Call your old address and ask if you can mail them the GPS and have them take it out in the driveway and open it and set the pin to whatever you want and mail it back.

According to the instructions once the PIN is set there are only 2 ways to unlock the unit.
#1 go to your "Security Place" (too far away for you)
#2 send it back to Garmin with proof of valid registration or proof of purchase.
There's may be a special reset button inside the unit, the main battery and/or if it has a backup battery may have to be disconnected, it may use flash memory and Garmin would have some sort of re-programmer to erase the old PIN. (I'm not suggesting or recommending taking your Garmin apart).
At least it's good to know that if stolen, it's not easy for the thief to reset and use it.

Garmin most likely have a software that can still communicate with the NUVI even if it is locked and restore the settings to factory default.

Send your locked Nuvi to me, I have developed a machine to unlock them.

I took my locked nuvi apart , i tryed disconnecting all power to the unit batt and all . nothing, there are alot of contact points on the board and all are labled with abbrev google the abbrev to find which clears the unit or try holding down the power button while powering on the unit continue to hold it, this is how the pin unlock program is used and it needs to be on a sd card , hack hack hack never give up
