Toshiba DR410 DVD Recorder won't power on when plugged in. I unplugged it to move it to another room. It sat unplugged for about a month. I have plugged it in to several outlets and it won't come on. It's almost new, only used once to record something.

Two things that you can try is bring the dvd into a warm environment as it may have got damp inside.Plug it in and keep trying it .

Another is the collection of dust, lift the dvd rec up and blow into the dvd opening..
I presume you have a handbook as its nearly new, then contact the supplier. As at least you will have a 1yr warranty.
