Brake lights stay on when engine is running. How do I repair??

It sounds as if your brake switch plunger is not making contact at the peddle. The way it works is when it's touching, the light is out and, when you step on the brake peddle the plunger from the switch travels outward and turns the light on. OR
The wires are corroded somewhere in the line (possibly at the rear light housing) whereby the brake light wire is powered through an active 12 volt line when the vehicle is running.

When i start the vehicle with remote it stars but shut off right away

There are feedbacks to the remote controller unit and if there is fault of feeback from the ignition pulse, the handbrake or the RPM then the remote system can shut down.
So check the feedback from these sections to the unit.
Also check the idling speed as it must be more to sustain the engine idling and iff the AC is also powered. If not reset and retune the engine to idle with ease.

I lose pressure in the brake peddle after i stop.

The push rod rubber ( oil seal ) on your brake cylinder was worn out or tear or melt or with small hole, located at the back of the hydro back. In your wheel there are rubber (oil seal) inside the piston that usually worn out long term use. Once you replace the rubber you need 2 person to adjust the pressure. First engine Start, 1 is in the Driver seat pump the brake and then the other 1 releasing the air in the fitting.

Why have the speakers stopped working on my stereo. they were working fine until i had to brake sharply then thet all went off together. the stereo is only a month old & is still connected at rear...

Hello.. I am sorry to hear you are having a problem. If you have had your speakers changed out recently, it could be that one of the speaker wires or terminals are touching a metal part of the car. What happens is the aftermarket stereo detects this problem and it shuts down all of the outputs to keep from burning up. So all of your speakers going out is a good thing because your stereo protection is working as it should. You can cut all of the speaker wires loose behind the radio and hook them back up one at a time and when the radio cuts off, that will be the bad line. I am assuming of course that you dont have them hooked to an aftermarket amplifier. Even if you have not changed your speakers, it is still a protection circuit that will detect a bad speaker as well. Sudden jolts, braking, etc. can cause a bad speaker to fault. Hope this helped!! Good luck with your venture!

What does the symbol looking like an exclamation mark mean on the dash between the two clocks

  1. Brake warning light:
This light functions for both the parking brake and the foot brake systems.
  2. Parking brake indicator: When the ignition key is in the ON position, the light comes on when the parking brake is applied.
      1. Check the brake fluid level. Add brake fluid as necessary. See .Brake fluid. in the .Maintenance and do-it-yourself. section of this manual.
      2. If the brake fluid level is correct, have the warning system checked by a NISSAN dealer.
    1. Low brake fluid warning light: When the ignition key is in the ON position, the light warns of a low brake fluid level. If the light comes on while the engine is running with the parking brake not applied, stop the vehicle and perform the following:
  3. Low tire pressure warning light (if so equipped)
If your vehicle is equipped with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) that monitors the tire pressure of all tires except the spare. The low tire pressure warning light warns of low tire pressure or indicates that the TPMS is not functioning properly.

NOTE: This vehicle is equipped with a passive immobilizer that needs to be bypassed for remote start operation only. Use DEI part number 555U to bypass. *1 The DDM (drivers door module) is located in the center of the drivers door. *2 Requires a double pulse to unlock. *3 Parking lights require a negative trigger with a 1800 ohm resistor in-line to the white/green wire. Using a negative trigger with a 780 ohm resistor in-line to the same white/green wire will turn on the headlights as well as the parking lights. *4 This wire may cause the aftermarket alarm to false when the vehicles electrical system shuts down. Use a relay to isolate it. *5 The FEM (Front Electronic Module) is located in the drivers kick panel. The REM (Rear Electronic Module) is located in the trunk, just above the battery. hope that helps

Engine light on says its from a small vacume leak

That's your brake vacuum, take it to a mechanic to have it taken care of, if your vacuum leaks too bad you won't have brakes...

I have an eonon GPS/DVD/Bluetooth flip up touchscreen car stereo. Navigation works fine; when I swith to dvd or backup camera, unit screen shuts off.

Do you have the PARKING BRAKE ON??? You need to have the wire coming from the back labeled PARKING BRAKE hooked to ground. You also might have a radio damaged during installation. You can email me at, I am an unauthorized distributer of eonon radios...

Remove the immobiliser. Your engine immobiliser is what is shutting your car down. You may need an Auto Electrcian to help you with this one, as one immobiliser is out, you will still want you central locking to work from control.
