Re: kenmore dryer

This promblem is about always a vent promblem or not cleaning the drier filter if your using the plastic vent check if its mashed behind the drier you must have 4inch of vent all the way throuch if its mashed or folded over its cut down to 2inches if it hangs under your house then comes up to the outside vent housing it can fill with water if the outside hood door isnt oping that will do it too its in your vent some where what i tell cust to do is run 4inch pvc from out side hood up through floor then run short metel vent to pvg attach with clamp to confirm vent restriction take vent loose for one load and see if it dries in right amount of time

Elec. clothes dryer turns but won't dry

If dryier is 220 V, phase is burnt out, so it's working on 110V, not enough to heat the air. Check your breaker and electric system or dryier.

We have a Kenmore 400 Series dryer. It heats up but our clothes is not getting dry. We have to cycle it twice to get our clothes dry on high heat. Any idea why it would take 2 cycles to dry?

This was the out vent of my dryer... If it gets this bad... open up the dryer housing and clean inside too. Also make sure the intake is free of lint.

I just bought a gas dryer - takes forever to dry clothes

check the high limit switch/thermostat on the burner housing and if they are weak they will cycle the heat off too soon and it wont build the heat you have it set for, just bypass it with a jumper wire to test it,if this is the problem, dont leave it bypassed, replace it as it is a safety feature to prevent a fire

Kenmore Series 80 gas dryer, clothes take 3 hours to dry

Hello, This problem is going to be your safety valve coils...basically they get old and over time of heating then cooling develop a short when they heat up...It may appear the gas lights to start but then goes out until the safety valve coils cool back down. Here is a picture of the coils 57d5263.jpgThis The coils are mounted to the gas safety valve, This should solve your problem. Hope this helps, Please feel free to comment again if you have any further questions or concerns. Good Luck! Mike

Kenmore 90 series gas dryer, NO HEAT!!!

Hi, if you get no glow on the ignitor and you have voltage its the little white two terminal fuse on the exhaust side that has no continuity on the series 80 it has 2 blue wires, these complete the circuit for both gas valves and the ignitor. If you have an ohm meter it you will find it rite away. Hope this helps.
