The changer is either incompatible or the changer wire has been intrnaly dammaged to much bending shorts them out as the wires are no more than alluminum foil enclosed in shrink wrap

Need wireing diegram

Here's the Installation Manual.
181 Pages in 5 Languages....

and/or here's the page where all of the AVIC-X1 Manuals can be found, including the above installation manual...

It appears that the speaker wiring diagram, by colors at least, shows up on Page 9
But there's a lot of wiring to that thing and this manual has lots of pages showing all sorts of wiring.
I hope that works out for you.

The screen on my pioneer AVIC-X1 doesn't work any more. I can remember where to touch to change radio channels so I can use that. How much would it cost to get it repaired and how much? Can anyone help?

Error code 11 - pioneer avic 1r

From Pioneer;

"Error code 11 is more specific, however, indicating that the player’s read laser cannot focus properly, most likely due to a fault with the disc."

Try a different CD, or you may have to have the laser cleaned.

Best of Luck.

GPS has global coverage. I see your problem is sourcing the map of Australia because the x1 comes only with Europe maps on CD. there may be a possibility the S2 maps work on the x1. Try contacting Pioneer Australia

Cannot play my portable audio device with Sony cdx c500x

It will only accept audio from the bus in conections when a multi changer is connected and selected.

This is how I connect my mp3 player to my sony.

Swap multichanger audio outputs at the rear of the stereo for my mp3 player, press source to select multichanger.

Remember as I said, if there is not a control cable connected to your multichanger it wont wotk!

hi Bips07.
Apparently, this model has an Achilles heel...the ribbon that controls screen extension/retraction. I believe Pioneer extended warranties on this model to 4 years if purchased via a pioneer main dealer or sub contractor. Problems normally occur within 18-24 months from new. I assume your unit is at least 18 months old. Best to contact place of purchase or Pioneer directly.
