My GE washer (modelWBB4500E1WW) overflows about every 3rd or 4th load. It appears to overfill like it doesn't know the level of water. Even when set to small load it can overflow.
Remove the front panel by using a putty knife to depress the retaining clips at the seam where it meets the washer top. (one on each side) Take the thin hose off the lower left side of the outer tub and clean it out. A short cut would be to cut off an inch and a half of it, but that's a one time fix, then the hose starts getting too short. To help prevent re-occourance, run a small hot load with a couple cups of bleach (no clothes) every few months. Make sure to rinse the tub on the largest level to prevent bleach damage to your next wash load.

Hello. My GE Washing Machine's balance ring is dripping water during the circles creating a small water puddle at the bottom of the machine and on the floor. Can you tell me what is the issue and how I can resolve it? Thank you.
