I have a netgear WNR1000 and my xbox live doesnt work

Using Xbox Live with NETGEAR Routers Problem: var js_3;function initPsDisplay(){js_3 = new PsDisplay({"info":{"controller_name":"PsDisplay","name":"PsDisplay_3","type":"FormField","w_id":3},"attrs":{"label":"","tabindex":"","field_name":"description","cf_id":"","table":"answers","highlight":0},"js":null});js_3.init();}YAHOO.util.Event.onDOMReady(initPsDisplay);
Workaround: var js_4;function initPsDisplay(){js_4 = new PsDisplay({"info":{"controller_name":"PsDisplay","name":"PsDisplay_4","type":"FormField","w_id":4},"attrs":{"label":"","tabindex":"","field_name":"solution","cf_id":"","table":"answers","highlight":0},"js":null});js_4.init();}YAHOO.util.Event.onDOMReady(initPsDisplay); NETGEAR has Xbox certified routers!
Note that the listed, certified firmware may no longer be available; later firmware is likely to work, but is not certified unless listed.

There is no information on what will be certified in the future. But if an existing model does not appear on the product dropdown on NETGEAR Home Page, then it will not be certified.

Hi,lost laptop wireless connection to my netgear WGT624v3. It detects the router is there but says 'aquiring network address' laptop works ok if i plug it direct to the hub port... any ideas appreciated....

try setting the channel to 11, but it depends on your location, for the best connection try finding the right channel that suites your locations.

sometimes there are alot of devices that can interfere with the signal coming from the router.

for your reference try this link for wireless range.

Netgear Wireless Router 108 MBPS

It's not the same. Your Netgear router version is V1. I did not find any downloadable upgrades either - I have the same router. My connection problem turned out to be between my DSL modem (AT&T), router and PC. What I needed to do was, under "Basic Settings," click no where it asks if your service requires login, then at the bottom of the tab, click the option to acquire the MAC address directly from the wired (desktop) computer. ("this computer" on the tab) Once I had done that, the router enable the modem correctly and I could use the desktop and the wireless access for my laptop. Frustrating, because if you have AT&T as your service provider, Netgear's instructions tell you to do the exact opposite.

Can not get internet or local web thru my netgear router (wgt624v3)

Have you run the configuration CD that came with the router?
You may also have to make changes to your firewall configuration in order to connect to the Internet.
If you no longer have the install CD, use the network setup wizard included in WinXP.
