Belkin router is unable to connect to 2Wire ADSL modem/router. 2Wire router has DHCP server enabled and Belkin has DHCP server disabled. Belkin is set to obtain an IP automagically. 2Wire IP is 192.168.2.1, Belkin IP is set to 192.168.2.2, and DHCP address pool on 2Wire is set to 192.168.2.250 to 192.168.2.255.
PCs (XP & Vista) can connect wired & wireless to 2Wire and the Belkin. The Belkin's modem light is flashing orange and the internet light is off. Suggestions?

- The phone & ADSL all work as advertised.
The 2Wire can connect to the internet and ALL PCs connected to the 2Wire can surf okay.
The Belkin can not connect to the 2Wire. PCs can connect, and they can see each other, but they can not surf because the Belkin has no connection. Why not?
If the Internet light is off then there is a problem with the phone line to the ADSL modem or the modem is faulty or there is a problem at the telephome exchange.
Disconnect the phone cable at the ADSL modem and connect a phone handset to this cable - check for a dial tone and that you can dial out.
If you don't get a dial tone, use a different or new phone cable.
If the phone line is OK then : -
Ring your ISP to get them to test your connection to your ADSL
modem.

I have been trying to install a AT&T 2wire gateway. The first two units we have tried, we installed correctly, got to the end of the installation process, and upon plugging in the ethernet cord, the ethernet light doesn't light up on the 2wire gateway. HELP!!
