Non functioning left button on mouse pad replace or repair?

Take a close look at the mouse buttons. Make sure the exterior of the buttons are clean and that there is no grime around the edges and crevasses of the buttons. Dirt on top of the mouse pad can result in slower performance or an unresponsive experience, while grime around the sides of the mouse buttons can cause problems with the pressing and depressing of the mouse.
Click on the "Printers and Other Hardware" option on your PC. This is an alternative method to the above. At this point, examine the menu that comes up and click on the button at the top that reads "Device Settings." You should then see an option to click on your Acer mousepad. Highlight this option and click "OK."
Launch your Web browser and go to the official manufacturers website. The above steps may not have worked, so downloading new drivers for your mouse may be necessary.Update your driver from website.
Restart your computer after fully completing the download and installation process. Once the restart process has completed, the driver installation will be complete and your mouse should work again.
If still it dont work you should first go for repair .

I have a Dell XPS 210. The mouse will does not work and it appears that the keyboard is not working. I changed the mouse and that one will not work either. I have rebooted but that doesn't help either....

Sound like you have a hardware problem.if you boot can you use the keyboard to go into the bios?hit f2 when it boots,If you enter the bios it might be a windows issue. However if it persist your keyboard might be disconected or bad.
Good luck

Keyboard will not respond on zv5000

one problem I have with mine is that the keys need to "warm up" after you first start up the computer. This usually takes anywhere from 15-20 minutes to do.

This may be why your keyboard does not respond.

The simple fix I found was to just connect a separate keyboard via USB.

HP pavilion will not shut down

pull the power cord out and the battery (or just let it run out). Then, try turning it back on again. If it does the same thing again then yes it may be old blue death and your harddrive may be worse than dead. I don't believe that the power button doesn't work. Hold it in for 10-15 seconds or so, any computer is DOS programmed to respond to the power commands above all, even above the dreaded blue screens. Let me know if I'm an ******* and I don't know what I'm talking about or if you need more help.
