Re: ringtones

Unfortunately, you can only use the built in tones as message tones. Sorry...

How do you use a song as a ringtone or text message alert

First you have to have songs downloaded onto your phone either Bluetooth or wireless web. At the end of the download, the option to use it as a ringtone will usually be given, but if it is not, just go to "downloads" and set from there or "ringtones"(where the pre-set ones are) and set from there..
If I knew more about your device I could (probably) walk you through it.

Good luck!!

Setting ringtones as you text message alert tones

You CAN set a song as your text alert tone. Here are the steps:
1- Go to: Settings> Profiles>
2- Select your options (e.g. normal, vibrate and ring, etc....)
3- select Options> Customize (2)>
4- Highlight "Message Sound" and select Options> Customize (2),
5- Then browse to the folder your song or sound is in (e.g. audio) and select the file you want to use and save it.

I noticed that the songs have to be under 30 seconds to use as any type of alert tone for calls or texts.

Hopefully this helps.

Received sounds

you may not be able to do this if your phone is locked which just means its a restriction set by your provider, not to say it isnt possible. its probably a measure taken by your wireless provider to force you to purchase sucks i know
