When i try using prgressive scan it comes up error why and how can i get progressive scan to work

In order to use progressive scan you must have a progressive scan compatible tv. Check your users manual to find out if its compatible. If it is it should give instructions to turn on the progressive scan option for tv.

We see a yellow anouncement that says PSCAN and it splits the image

PSCAN; means Progressive Scan. To get the splitted picture together you have to change the scan system of your tV to progressive scan. Now it runs on Interlace Scan. If your TV has Progressive Scan function; refer to its user manual; set it to progressive scan. An other way is to change the scan system with DVD. Try either. OK.

Does the JVC xv s40 have progressive scan?

Sorry but this DVD does not have progressive scan. Before buying another DVD player with progressive scan ensure the tv you have can receive progressive scan signals. If not it doesn't matter if the dvd has progressive scan or not. Hope this helps.

return the setting back to 480i, your in progressive scan and your tv is not excepting the signal. your manual should tell you how. there may be a button on the remote or switch in the back of the unit or some sequence of commands to switch in to 480i. all DVD players are different in how this change is made. p.scan means progressive scan which is line doubling the picture standard tv's can not scan that high (EDTV's are 31.5KHz, standard tv's are 15.75KHz).

How do I turn off Progressive scan?

Hi, follow the steps it may help !! Press STOP button. ? If playing a disc, press the STOP button twice so that ?STOP?, appears on the display. Press and hold P.SCAN button on the remote control for over 5 seconds. ? Pressing and holding the button for over 5 seconds will select "Progressive Scan" and "Interlace Scan" alternately. ? When you select P.SCAN, "P.SCAN" will appear on the display. ? To set P.Scan mode for DivX discs, press the P.SCAN button on the remote control for more than 5 seconds with no disc in the unit (?'NO DISC" on the display), then load the DivX disc and play. regards sreejith
