If you log on to a computer with an account that has administrator rights, you automatically install Office 2003 and Office 2003 MUI Packs with elevated privileges. However, this method requires that all users have administrator rights when they run Office Setup or that an administrator visits every computer.
it sounds like you are not an admin, but a user on the computer, so make sure you login as admin in order to get all those rights.

The user made extensive updates to a Word 2k3 document he received and did a File-Save As. The document 'saved' without any problems. More changes were made , the file saved and Word exited. Later in the day the user went to open the document and could not locate it anywhere (it was not even listed on the Recent) list. For 2 hrs. the user searched the local drive, temp folder, network folders...the file was not there. (The searches were by file name, words in the document, the date.). The user said that the problem only occurred once. I stepped him through creating a new normal.dot after learning that he had been having a recurring problem with the normal.dot. Will this resolve his problem or should other measures be taken? And what did Save As do with the document? Thanks...EJohnson/HDT
