Have had my LED20 canon scanner for approx 3 yrs. Suddenly scanner when asked to scan goes to the point of scanning but stops at that point. Comes up with message to unlock switch, remove connection plug...replace and lock switch. Still will not scan. Did this about a mnth ago and cleared itself.

try reinstalling the scanner driver (right click on the installer) but run it as administrator so that all its files will be allowed by vista, check also if your scanner is compatible with vista
