Manual in English

I have been given as a Xmas present from my grandchildren a boxed version of the above model in which they have preloaded on an SD memory stick some 250 phographs. Unfortunately the instruction manual is in Chinese and although by fiddling with the remote control (also in Chinese) I can play a slide show of these photos,I am unable to download these on to my PC via the USB connection- the Compter/ Drive/ shows zero content. The other clearly available features are also not available without some English instruction. I've searched the net for this but so far without success. Can you assist please/

I'm not sure how I get back to you Scramblepad but the inf. you asked for is asfollows:-

"Gadmei 8inch TFT LCD Photo Frame" and it may have been purchased in China.

Since my first message I have been told by my son that he plugged in the frame to my PC via the USB lead and had a message on the screen that the device was recognised and was presented with five extra drives (A-G) . The G drive allowed him to view the photos on the PC. The others did nothing. He did admit however to unplugging the USB connectiuon without the possible preliminary shut down precautions. Does this helpl please?

    Hi Kevin,

Thank for your helpful reply.Apart from the printing on the frame which states "Gadmei TFT LCD 8inch Digital Photo Frame" the only other English detail amongst the Chinese is:-PF880, WMA/MP3/MPEG/DIVX/XDIV/ AVI/DAT- USB2.0,MMC,MS,CF. which I don't think is much help to identify the model.

    I'm still searching,

I still dont have a model # but I think I am getting close.

    Is this it:?

If this is it please let me know.

I am doing my best to find a manual and yes, you should never

[ although I have done this all the time with no problems ] disconnect without shutting down in the middle of a download and yes it will show it as a drive on xp.

When you hook it up, a screen should pop up asking you various things, to copy, open folder, slide show etc. Does this happen?

Now you say the g drive let him view the photos on the pc. Thats good. You should be able to transfer the photos this way.

We know the drive is g so go to the start button, click on it and

click on "my computer " make sure the photo frame is connected to the computer and turned on.

Once you click on "my computer " a patteren of drives will show up , cd rom etc. Look for the " g " drive and using the LEFT mouse button double click on the G drive.

A menu should show up. You should be able to see your photos or somthing describing them. If you cannot see them and only see a text indication on this screen you can go to the top of the screen under VIEW and change it to thimnails. Anyway once you see all the photos, go to the top of the screen menu under edit and click on SELECT ALL. At this time all the photos /files will be highlighted. Next we want to copy these somewhere. On the top menu under edit click on COPY. Now we are ready to place these where ever you like.

How about under MY PITCHERS? . Look on the LEFT of the screen near the bottom and you should see a somthing that says OTHER PLACES. Place your mouse over this location and use THE RIGHT BUTTON ON THE MOUSE. Click it and a menu will pop up. Look for PASTE near the bottom of the menu and using the LEFT click button click on it and you photos will now be under MY PITCHERS. To view them now wee need to go to MY PITCHERS. Click the START button and you may see 2 menus, on the right you should see MY PITCHERS some where. Click on it and they shoud be their.

I hope this helps. Please give me the model # so I can look for the manual. The model # or any info [ not serial # ] will help but it looks like this is the only model this compan makes so I am guessing this is the one. Very nice Item I might add. I have wanted one for yoers but the price is too high. I came across a PHILLIPS portable DVD player that had a sd memory card slot in it so you can view photos etc. Like a photo frame but you get more. A DVD player, etc. for about 139.00 from WalMart. This is clearly the way to go. HonKong and China is about 5 to 10 years ahead of us. They have been using cell phones to purchase candy, pop, etc from vending mach. fro the past 6 years and they have had car audio and home audio equipment that you can place your memory card and listen to your music that way through your cars speakers , home tuner, boom box etc without having to lug around cd's all the time and they have had this for about 8 years. Just recently they have been selling the boom box memory card readers in some walmart stores under the RCA name for about 135.00. Little by little it will be everywhere.

Anothething, memory cards and flash memory are like rechargable batteries. They can only be used so many times befor they fail.

    Hoped this hellped some.

Hello...copy this address into your browser for the actual user manual to your unit! On page 38, which you should be on with the above address, complete pictures, and instructions are given. The manual is in .pdf format--Adobe acrobat reader is needed to view. It's a free download! Just in case you get freaked, go to Sony USA, go to support, and type in your model number in the search box--I typed in "vples1 user manual" minus the quotes--heh, youll have to find the english version---rick

Manual needed for dvd player

First you need to find out the manufacturer, ie panasonic, sony.
Then the model number.
Once you've got those two things, go on the web and type in the manufacturer first. Then find the dvd page and type in the model number.
That should do it!

Instructions manual in English

Find the product number at the top left of the bar code on the bottom of your base unit.

Finding the product name/model number:
  1. Look on the bottom of your phone for the serial number sticker.
(If you have a multi-handset unit, it will be on the main base.)
  2. The product name is in the top left corner of the sticker, above the bar code:
Once you have the specific model number go to this web page and follow the list down until you find your model and follow the list down until you find your model, click on product details. You will see the link to the manual at the top right of the model page, which is a PDF file. You can get the latest version of Acrobat PDF Reader at this location here..

Otherwise, if you would send me the model number as described above in a comment using the box below I will post a direct link for you.

Remove your UMD, start your psp, go to settings, system settings, restore default settings, and try again.

Alternatively, you could try to update your firmware, as the game might need a higher version system. Please refer to the manual given below.

Missing instruction booklet

I don't know where to find the instructions online, perhaps there is a website on the back of the box at the bottom in VERY small print. However, having just purchased one as a gift for my dad (a Kodak), this is what we did: Plugged it in, went to menu to set up how long between each shot, full view or adjust to fit, and then we inserted the sd card with the photos on it. It began working at that point on it's own. We also could use a jump drive. Hope that helps.
