Your problem is probably overheating. Touch the screen where you see the stain. Is it very hot to touch? Is there a radiator nearby?

The only solution I know is to move the TV to a cooler spot.

Its not a magnet. I had the same issue. A circuit board needs to be replaced.

Ahh, that isnt good, the only reason I can say, is, the green stain your referring to, is result of a magnet, or magnetized object coming too close to the screen, thus pulling the color from the screen, depending at which point you put the magnet, it will either be green, red or blue. I dont believe there is fix for it.

Can someone tell me what the square footage is in a board 2 inches thick 8 inches wide and 8 foot long please

if you are staining the edges and both sides it will work out as follows

Each flat side is roughly 5.28 square feet or 10.5 square feet total per board.

The edges add rougly another 2.4 square feet so rough answer would be 13 square feet per board.

Clean old wood

I would start by wiping It down with a damp cloth and then letting it try. Depending on its condition there are a few steps to take from here. One option for something in good shape would be a wood polish (though I don't think this is what you want for a work bench). If it needs more work, it can be sanded a fine grain sandpaper and then left as is, or stained or sealed. Just as a heads up, wood is very porous so if it is stained because something was spilled and left to sit, it's likely permanent. A dark stain (found at any hardware store) and some sanding might be able to over it up.

I spilled liquid on the HP 5610 scanner. Now I have a stain on the left margin of my scans. The stain is a strip that extends from top to bottom. How do I remedy this?

One way to remove all types of stains and fingerprints is Windex and a soft rag. That is one of the cheapest and easiest way to do it.

A better approach to it is to use monster cleaner. It is a special spray to clean tv screens, laptop screens, and even windows. It comes with its own cloth that works amazingly well. I have used it for years and has worked for me every time. You can pick it up at your local Best Buy or click on the link to buy online.

Blue dots center and yellow stain right hand corner on 60'' sonytv

Yes, I do. It needs a new light engine. Very costly repair. However, Sony has extended the warranty on many of these LED projector sets. You need to call a local Sony authorized service center and see if your model is covered. Otherwise this repair could run over a thousand bucks.

Use the razor push only in one direction this will remove the stain. Ceran is a very resiliant material and you will not scratch it but if you leave gunk on the burner and repeatedly cook on it the stain will become permanant and you also risk pitting the glass. Pitting is pock marks in the glass that are permanant. Pitting is most commonly produced when starch or sugars are left on a burner but is possible with other spills. Good Luck.

Looks like the wrong lamp was installed, or the cooling fan is not working. Careful - it may be permanently damaged, as the LCD inside can be hurt by high temperatures.

Water stain on the front of our Akai PT5499 Projection TV

Hmm... should evaporate on its own. The only way to access behind the screen is to take the whole back off the TV, and then inside theres another panel that covers the main reflector and screen. I wouldnt recommend doing that just for water tho.
